Many people from Penarth and beyond have great affection for ‘Top Church’.  Maintaining such an important Grade I building is a huge challenge for the existing congregation. Friends of St Augustine’s is a newly formed group which has been set up to complement the fund-raising activities of the Church.  Its main aim is to ensure that this important Church is kept in good heart for now and for the future.

Any one who can answer ‘Yes’ to even one of the following questions, might like to join the Friends.

• Were you married or baptised in the Church?
• Is someone you love buried in the Churchyard?
• Did you worship at St Augustine’s and have moved away?
• Do you call it ‘Top Church’?
• Do you love the view looking towards Cardiff?
• Did you once play in the Churchyard?
• Did you sing in the Choir?
• Is this Church a particular landmark for you?

Annual membership of the Friends of St Augustine’s costs £10 (single) £15 (joint) and £20 (family).  

Benefits of membership include: social events, concerts, outings, exhibitions, fun family days, talks, newsletters and the gratitude of all of us who want to ensure this wonderful Church is here for generations to come.

This exciting venture was launched on Saturday 10 November 2012 in the Church when over 150 people attended including the Mayor and Mayoress of Penarth, who where among the first to become Friends of St Augustine’s.
