Volunteer Group
Like gardening, fresh air, beautiful views while you work, good company and cake? You’ll fit right in!
Our volunteer group meets for a few hours each week on a Tuesday afternoon to maintain order in our beautiful churchyard. We mow, strim, and scythe the grass, trim hedges and bushes, weed graves, clear paths and generally try to keep the are looking tidy. It’s a big task, so we are always looking for volunteers.
We have a break for tea (and usually cake) and you can do as much or as little as you feel like. There are great views and lots of wildlife to enjoy, with part of the churchyard left wild to encourage the creatures there to live and thrive.
If you can spare some time on Tuesdays 2-
Tools: We have mowers, strimmers, rakes, brushes etc, but please bring along any tools that you’d like to use, especially secateurs and gloves.
