Baptism or Christening

Holy Baptism is a wonderful expression of faith and desire to follow a Christian way of life. We are delighted to welcome children and adults into the church by Baptism and we celebrate this special occasion with their family and friends. This usually takes place on Sunday during the normal morning service or at other times if there are special circumstances.


If you would like to enquire about having your child baptised, or being baptised yourself, please email or call Rachel Elder, Ministry Area Administrator.

There is no charge for Baptisms.

Funerals: arrangements are usually done through the Funeral Director, but you can also  contact the clergy directly: Rev Mark Jones 029 20709897 or Rev Jimmy Young 07860 777582 especially for support in bereavement.


Burials in our churchyards - St Augustine’s and St Dochdwy’s Churchyards are closed for new burials, apart from in existing graves. Ashes may be interred in existing graves, but there are no new plots available at St Augustine’s.


Old St Lawrence, Lavernock still has some space for Interment of Ashes.

Old St James, Leckwith has a limited amount of space.
